2025 National 7s Circuit standings after Prinsloo 7s

KCB Rugby and Strathmore Leos are tied at the top of the National 7s Circuit standings after two legs, each amassing 41 points.

KCB kicked off their campaign with a dominant title run at Driftwood 7s and added 19 more points after finishing second at Prinsloo 7s. Leos, who settled for second in Mombasa, bounced back to clinch the Prinsloo 7s title after a convincing win over KCB in the final.

National 7s Circuit positions

Nakuru RFC and Menengai Oilers are tied on 28 points. Hosts Nakuru showed consistency, finishing fourth at Driftwood and making the Cup quarters again in Nakuru. Oilers followed up their fifth-place finish in Mombasa with a fourth place performance at Prinsloo 7s.

Kabras RFC sit fifth on 27 points. The Sugarmen had a strong showing in Driftwood with a third-place finish but dropped points in Nakuru after being knocked out in the Cup quarters.

Catholic Monks have risen to sixth with 26 points following an impressive third-place finish in Nakuru that added to their nine-point haul from Mombasa. Kenya Harlequin follow on 24 points after finishing sixth in both legs.

Mwamba RFC and MMUST are tied on 11 points. Mwamba improved at Prinsloo, collecting 10 points after managing just one in Driftwood. MMUST had a bright start in Mombasa with 10 points but failed to build on that performance in Nakuru.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Daystar Falcons are on 13 points, boosted by an improved display in Nakuru. Nondies, who earned 10 points at Driftwood, added five more in Nakuru to sit on 15 points.

Impala RFC have picked up 10 points across the two legs, while Kabete Stallions have 9 after a drop in form at Prinsloo. Zetech Oaks, who debuted in Nakuru, earned 7 points in their first top tier appearance of the season.

Blak Blad and Mombasa RFC are on six and four points respectively, while Kabarak University and Kisumu RFC round off the standings with two and one point.

The National 7s Circuit heads to the capital for the Christie 7s, where teams will be looking to build momentum or bounce back as the race to the top four heats up.
