List of 2025 Driftwood 7s award winners

The 2025 Driftwood 7s came to a close at Mombasa Sports Club with top performers being recognised for their outstanding displays throughout the tournament.

KCB Rugby’s Floyd Wabwire emerged as the biggest individual winner, scooping three accolades.

He was named Player of the Final, Top Try Scorer with 8 tries, and Top Points Scorer having scored 40 points.

For his efforts, he received the Bronze Award and a cash prize of Ksh 10,000 from SportPesa Tujiamini.

Nashon Mwangemi of Mombasa RFC was recognised as the Most Promising Player of the tournament.

In Division II, Zetech Oaks edged NYS Spades 10-0 in a tense final to win the category and earned Ksh 50,000 along with promotion to Division I.

Division I champions KCB Rugby, who defeated Strathmore Leos 15-14 in a closely contested final, were awarded Ksh 100,000, while Strathmore Leos took home Ksh 50,000 as runners-up.

Kabras Sugar, who secured third place with a 21-10 victory over Nakuru RFC, earned Ksh 25,000.

The National Sevens Circuit now moves to Nakuru for the second leg, Prinsloo 7s, scheduled for next weekend.
