Kenyan rugby coach Lee Arstone has achieved his Level 2 (15s) coaching accreditation, marking an important milestone in his career.

Arstone’s accreditation comes after a season of notable success both at school and club level.

He guided Kisii School to a historic third consecutive Nyanza regional rugby 15s title, following a hard-fought 3-0 win over former champions St. Mary’s School, Yala at Rapogi Boys High School in Migori County.

Kisii School later finished as national runners-up, falling 14-6 to Vihiga High School in the KSSSA National 15s final held at Shimo La Tewa, Mombasa, and have qualified for the upcoming East Africa Games in Rift Valley.

At the club level, Arstone led Kisii RFC to a 13-6 victory over Administration Police Warriors, securing promotion back to the KRU Championship after a five-year absence.

Kisii RFC will now face NYS Spades in the Nationwide League final at NYS Headquarters, Ruaraka, with both sides already assured of promotion.

Following the qualification, Arstone is set to continue playing a key role in the growth of rugby both in Nyanza and nationally.
