Kenya Lionesses secured their first win in the second round of the Challenger Series in South Africa with a 17-5 victory over Belgium.
The Lionesses dominated the first half, powered by Grace Okullo’s strength and skill as she scored a hat-trick.
Grace Okullo’s Run
Kenya took early control of the match, with Okullo scoring her first try off an offload to put them ahead 5-0 after a missed conversion.
As the first half progressed, she added a second try, weaving past Belgium’s defenders to extend the lead to 10-0.
Despite Belgium tightening their defense, they couldn’t stop Okullo, who completed her hat-trick with a try under the posts, pushing Kenya’s lead to 17-0 at halftime.

Belgium responded in the second half with a single try, making it 17-5. Both teams then held firm defensively until the final whistle.
Kenya will face neighbors Uganda in their second match at 8:36pm EAT.
