The 2024 DBA Africa’s Future Cup, held at KCB Sports Club, saw the best players feted following the conclusion of the tournament, which Ugandas Kampala Giants won.
In the boys’ category, Thomas Sichange of the Rift Valley Lakers team won two awards: the top try scorer and the most valuable player of the tournament.
Sean Naan from the Nairobi Lightning team went home with the Sportsmanship Award. The Coach of the Year award was won by Amady Diallom from the Nairobi Bulldozers team
The Girls tournament also saw the best fitted as four teams partcipated in the first-ever U15 Girls Futures Cup.

The best players in the U15 Girls category were acknowledged and Naomi Chemtai of Central Avalanche emerged as the top try scorer.
Joyce Wanja from the Rift Valley Lakers team was named the most valuable player for being an outstanding player throughout the tournament.
Marilyne Amita of the Western Wanderers home with the Sportsmanship award with Diana Kemunto and Elizabeth Nekesa both from the Nairobi Bulldozers team bagged the Coach of the Tournament award.
The tournament was won by Rift Valley Lakers who went unbeaten in all their matches.
