The KRU Championship league phase for the 2025/26 season has officially concluded, setting the stage for the highly anticipated knockout rounds.
Mwamba RFC finished top of the standings with 45 points after a consistent campaign that saw them register nine wins from eleven matches. They are closely followed by JKUAT Cougars, who ended the regular season on 44 points, sealing second place in what proved to be a tightly contested title race.
The final standings were confirmed following a resolution on the outstanding regular season fixture between JKUAT Cougars and Western Bulls. The match, which had initially been postponed, was awarded to JKUAT Cougars as a walkover after Western Bulls were unable to honour the fixture.
The decision ensured the table remained unchanged at the top, with both Mwamba RFC and JKUAT Cougars securing home semi-final advantage heading into the next phase of the competition.
SC Pirates finished third with 38 points after an impressive run that yielded eight wins, while Catholic Monks claimed fourth place on 37 points to complete the semi-final bracket.
