The closely contested encounter saw Mwamba grind out a hard-fought victory to stay top of the log, picking key points against CUEA who are chasing a top four finish.
In other fixtures, the match between South Coast Pirates RFC and the NYS Spades produced a narrow result, with NYS Spades falling 14-12 to their rivals in a tightly fought battle.
Zetech Oaks RFC also registered a crucial win, seeing off Kisii RFC 10-6 in a low-scoring but competitive contest.

Meanwhile, USIU Martials RFC produced one of the biggest results of the round after overpowering Homeboyz RFC 31-5 to strengthen their campaign and survival hopes.
The fixture between JKUAT RFC and Western Bulls RFC was postponed, while the match involving Mean Machine RFC and Mombasa RFC was abandoned.
