Homeboyz RFC will host South Coast Pirates at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday, 24th January 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00pm, in a KRU Championship clash.

In the front row, Homeboyz will start with Robert Macharia and Ezekiel Owiti at prop, with Emmanuel Kioko throwing in at hooker, a combination that will be tested by the Pirates trio of Abdhala Mohamed, Tirop Silvester and Sadala Mohamed.

The engine room will see captain Peter Mbaya partner Masud Athmani for the hosts, up against Pirates locks Adnan Juma and John Asega, as both sides look to dominate the lineouts and gain territorial control.

At the breakdown, Homeboyz deploy Ken Oduor and Stanley Nyatiende on the flanks, with vice-captain Patrick Mwakina anchoring at number eight. They come up against a dynamic Pirates back row featuring James Ainea, Iddo Kuta and Benedict Wesonga.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

The half-back pairing pits Obed Aberi and Sospeter Yoga for Homeboyz against Ali Rashid and Joseph Musyoki for Pirates.  In midfield, Thomas Ojango and Godwin Kisero will combine for the hosts, facing Cedric Odhiambo and Charles Tendwa, as the two centre pairings look to unlock defences and provide go-forward ball.

Out wide, Homeboyz will rely on the pace of Sam Bachai and Kelvin Agwambo, while Pirates counter with Brian Maina and Juma Mwaburashi on the wings, setting up a series of intriguing one-on-one battles.

At full-back, Emmanuel Mbaka takes charge for Homeboyz, with Robin Odrua providing the last line of defence for Pirates.

Both benches are well stocked, with the impact of players like Cliff Mogoi, Collins Otieno and Rydon Lukano for Homeboyz, and Noordin Abdhala, Jeremy Andati and debutant Andrew Barasa for Pirates likely to play a crucial role in the final quarter.
