The 2025/2026 Kenya Cup enters Match Day 3 this weekend with only five fixtures will be played instead of the traditional six.
Scrummage Africa understands that the MMUST Rugby vs Daystar Falcons encounter has been postponed due to graduation ceremonies scheduled at both universities.
MMUST vs Daystar off
MMUST are set to hold their graduation on 5th December, just a day before the Kenya Cup weekend, making it impossible for the Kakamega-based side to host the fixture. Daystar Falcons are also preparing for their own ceremony, resulting in the mutual postponement of the match.
Despite the change, five key clashes remain on the cards. Defending champions Kabras Sugar host Impala RFC at the ASK Showground in Kakamega, while Menengai Oilers welcome Kisumu RFC in Nakuru.

In Nairobi, KCB Rugby face Strathmore Leos at the KCB Sports Club, with Nondescripts hosting Nakuru RFC at Ngong Racecourse. The final match of the weekend sees KU Blak Blad take on Kenya Harlequin at Kenyatta University.
The new date for the MMUST vs Daystar Falcons fixture is expected to be communicated by the Kenya Rugby Union in the coming days.
