Mean Machine unveil new captain and chairman ahead of new season

Mean Machine Rugby Club has announced its leadership lineup for the 2025/2026 season as they hope to impress in the KRU Championship season.

Simon Omondi will lead from the boardroom as the new Club Chairman.  He takes over from Seth Lenon.

On the field, Carlton Emmanuel has been named club captain. Emmanuel takes over with a promise to guide the team back to the Kenya Cup, a challenge the team fully trusts him to deliver.

Meanwhile, Benedict Bahati, fresh from an impressive 7s season, has been appointed vice-captain, taking over from Bill Jeffords.

The administrative side of the club also sees key changes. Hilda Wangechi, affectionately known as Keshi, steps in as Team Manager, replacing Prince Lusava.

Alex Wambura takes over as Treasurer from Norman Felix, while rookie Mabia Adrian, unopposed in his election, becomes the new Secretary.

Nelson Rakama will now manage the club’s social media presence, taking over from Kevin Mbogo. On the medical side, Wandola Shiundu retains his role as Team Physio.
