The 2025/26 Kenya Cup season is set to kick off on November 22, 2025, with 12 clubs gearing up to battle for the country’s most prestigious rugby title.
Just like in previous seasons, the competition will maintain the one-off round-robin format where all clubs face each other once before proceeding to the knockout phase, which will feature the playoffs, semifinals, and final.
Kenya Cup league phase
The league phase will run until Saturday, March 14, 2026, before taking a short break and resuming in April with the playoffs. Once again, the Kenya Cup will be intertwined with the Enterprise Cup, mirroring last season’s calendar structure.
Three match rounds are scheduled before the end of the year, after which the competition will take a one-month festive break.

This season promises plenty of exciting derbies and headline clashes. Some of the standout fixtures include the Lurambi Derby between Kabras RFC and MMUST, and the varsity derby pitting Blak Blad against Strathmore Leos on matchday one.
Other thrilling encounters will see Kenya Harlequin face Nondescripts in the Ngong Road Derby on matchday four, Menengai Oilers take on Nakuru RFC in the Nakuru Derby on matchday five, and Impala meet Kenya Harlequin in another Ngong Road Derby later in the season.
Fans will also look forward to heavyweight clashes such as Menengai Oilers versus KCB Rugby on matchday nine, KCB Rugby versus Kabras Sugar on matchday ten, and the Rai Derby on matchday eleven, among others.
