The 2025 Impala Floodlit quarterfinals have been pushed backwards to a later date in respect to former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
In a statement released by the organizing committee to the media, the tournament which was to kick off on Saturday 18 October will now move to 25 October 2025.

The statement signed by Impala Chairman Peter Nduati and 2025 Impala Floodlit Organizing Committee Chairman Daniel Ndaba revealed that the semifinals will now be played on 1st November and the final on 8th November 2025.
“Impala Rugby Club and the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Impala Floodlit announce the revision of the 2025 Impala Floodlit tournament dates as earlier announced. The revision is in respect of the passing of the former Prime Minister Right Honorable Raila Amolo Odinga and to join the nation in mourning the statesman.
“The new dates for the 2025 Impala Floodlit will therefore be; Quarterfinals – 25th October 2025, Semifinals – 1st November 2025, Finals – 8th November 2025. All purchased tickets will remain valid.
“We join the rugby fraternity in passing our heartfelt condolences to Raila’s family, friends, and the nation of Kenya. May Baba rest in eternal peace!” the statement read.

Cup quarterfinals were to begin with Kenya Harlequin taking on Blak Blad at 2:20 PM, followed by Nondescripts facing Strathmore Leos at 4:00 PM.
Hosts Impala RFC were to play Mwamba RFC at 5:40 PM, before reigning champions Menengai Oilers close the day against KCB RFC at 7:20 PM.
In the Varsities category, matches were to played at Impala Grounds and the RFUEA Grounds with action kicking off early in the day.
Kabete Stallions were to play USIU at 10:20 AM at Impala Club, while JKUAT meet Impala Swaras at the same time at the RFUEA Grounds.
