Kenya Lionesses have reclaimed the Safari 7s title after defeating Uganda in a closely contested final at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday evening.
National 7s Circuit top points and try scorer Edith Nariaka opened the scoring for the Lionesses, changing direction brilliantly before touching down and converting her own try for a 7-0 lead.

Uganda fought back just before the break, with Comfort Anganyika crossing the line after a well-worked support play, before the visitors added another try at the corner to take a slim halftime lead.

In the second half, speedster Janet Okello restored Kenya’s advantage with a superb solo effort. Despite a late sin-bin, the Lionesses held firm to reclaim the title, having missed out in the last two editions.
Defending champions Costa Blanca Barbarians from Spain finished third after a 29-5 win over Shogun Rugby in the bronze final.
