Kenya Shujaa kept their perfect start to the 2025 Safari 7s with a 20-0 victory over French Renegades on Saturday October 11, 2025 while KCB Rugby recovered to book a quarterfinal slot and Kenya Morans recorded another convincing win in the last round pool matches played at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Shujaa Dominate Pool A at the 2025 Safari 7s
Shujaa opened the scoring when Nygel Amaitsa crossed moments into the game the conversion missed for a 5-0 lead.
Amaitsa then got his second try later in the first half, again the conversion did not go over, and Patrick Odongo darted past the Renegades defence on the right wing to add a third unconverted try, leaving Shujaa 15-0 at the break.
Early in the second half Festus Shiasi finished a move to extend the lead to 20-0 with Amaitsa’s conversion attempt again failed.
The Renegades held on until full time Jackson Siketi kicked the ball out after the hooter and Shujaa took the win and moved top of Pool A.
ReUnion registered their first victory of the tournament, beating Apache 14-7.
