Nine Kenyan universities will take part in the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Rugby 7s Championship set for KCB Sports Club.
Kenya will be represented by Technical University of Mombasa (TUM Pirates), the 2024 Eastern Africa University 7s champions after defeating Uganda Martyrs University 22-07 in the final played at Maseno University on December 17, 2024.
Other Kenyan sides in the mix include Daystar University, Kenyatta University, Kisii University, Kabarak University, Maseno University, USIU-A, University of Eldoret, and University of Nairobi.

The regional challenge will also feature Busitema University, Makerere University, and Uganda Christian University from Uganda, while Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU Rhinos) will add a southern African flavor to the competition.
