The 2025 Buffaloes 7s will climax with a blockbuster final between Heathens and Black Pirates at Kyadondo on Sunday after both sides battled through the semifinals to book their places in the title decider.
Heathens defeated Hippos 24-14 in the first Cup semifinal to secure their spot in the final, bouncing back strongly after missing out on last weekend’s title.
Buffaloes 7s second semi
In the second semifinal, Black Pirates overcame Rhinos 17-12 in a tense affair to keep their championship hopes alive.
Earlier in the day, the fifth-place semifinals saw Kampani Eagles beat Elgon Wolves 31-12, while Uganda 7s Series Champions Walukuba Barbarians overwhelmed KOBs 33-7 to set up a meeting in the fifth-place playoff.

In the Challenge Trophy semifinals, Buffaloes defeated Rams 24-7, and Mongers edged Juba Eagles 17-12 to book their place in the Challenge Trophy final.
The 13th-place semifinals featured Gulu City Falcons against Entebbe Jaguars and Mukwano Hawks versus Kyambogo, with winners set to battle for the lower-tier placement.
