Keroka had earlier edged Manyatta 10–5 in their semifinal clash, but Kisii Poly proved too strong in the decider to secure the silverware.

In the Men’s Cup, the semifinals produced drama as Kisii University edged Jooust 3–0 in a tense contest to qualify for the final.

Kisumu Development, on the other hand, fought off a spirited Winam Development side, edging them 12–10 to set up a final showdown with Kisii Uni.

Jooust and Winam will face off in the bronze final.

The Women’s Cup semis were equally entertaining, with Nyagichencha running over Nyakongo 25–0 and Sidindi Community edging Nyamira Community 5–0 to set up a much-anticipated final clash, while Nyakongo and Nyamira will meet in the bronze decider.

The quarterfinals laid the foundation for these thrilling encounters. In the Challenge Trophy, Homabay brushed aside Kanga 21–0, Manyatta squeezed past Riat 10–5, Keroka TTI dispatched Rongo 21–0 and Kisii Poly overcame KMTC Kisla 15–7.

The Men’s Cup quarterfinals saw Jooust silence Oyugis 5–0, Kisumu Development beat Siaya Development 17–3, Winam Development edge Maseno University 6–3 and Kisii Rugby defeat Kisii Uni 13–5.

These results set up the semis that eventually delivered Sunday’s finalists.

The finals at Siaya Stadium will see Nyakongo face Nyamira Community in the women’s bronze final at 8:00 am, Jooust play Winam in the men’s bronze final at 8:25 am, Nyagichencha battle Sidindi in the women’s cup final at 8:50 am and Kisii University take on Kisumu Development in the men’s cup final at 9:15 am.
