Top sides in the Uganda 7s Series have booked their places in the Kabale 7s Cup quarterfinals following the conclusion of the second round of matches at Kabale Municipal Stadium.
Black Pirates sealed their spot after a commanding 29-5 victory over the Eagles. The Pirates ran in five tries, with Allan Karuhanga grabbing a brace while Roy Kizito, Ojambo Jeremiah, and Sydney Gongodyo each crossed the line once.

Conrad Wanyama added two successful conversions as they conceded only one unconverted try.
The win took the Pirates to six points, ensuring they topped Pool C with a game to spare.

Heathens also progressed to the quarters after defeating Plascon Mongers 21-7. The Heathens scored three converted tries to secure back-to-back wins and advance with a match to spare.
League leaders Walukuba Barbarians followed suit, overcoming Gulu City Falcons 22-10. The Barbarians scored four tries and managed one conversion to seal the victory and their place in the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, the Hippos booked their quarterfinal spot after cruising past KIU Crows 28-5, scoring freely to make it two wins from two.
With one round of matches left in the group stage, the big guns have already underlined their title ambitions heading into the Kabale 7s quarterfinals.
