Black Pirates, Heathens, league leaders Walukuba Barbarian and Buffaloes managed a 100% win record on day one of the Kabale 7s.
Black Pirates ended the day with a 38-14 win over Rams. This match saw Roy Kizito bag his second brace of the weekend as Haruna Muhammad, Ojambo Jeremiah, Allan Karuhanga and Sydney Gongodyo continued their scoring run on day one with a try each. Jones Kamiza and Haruna Muhammad added the conversions.
This saw them manage nine points on the standings to top their pool. Walukuba and Heathens won 17-10 over the Hippos and 24-14 over Elgon Wolves.
Pirates will be in the Cup quarters alongside Walukuba Barbarian, Heathens, and Buffaloes, having qualified before the final round.
