KCB Rugby interim coach Andrew Amonde has made three changes to his squad for the Dala 7s, the final leg of the National 7s Circuit, as they look to reclaim the title this weekend in Kisumu.

The changes see George Ooro return to the squad after missing the Kabeberi 7s, while Tyson Maina and Kevin Ochieng also come into the 14-man team.

Key players Vincent Onyala, Bob Muhati, Emmanuel Opondo, Floyd Wabwire, and Jenkins Kipruto will maintain their perfect record, having featured in all six legs of the 2025 campaign.

Elvis Okukusi, Samuel Asati, Brian Wahinya, and Osumba Stephen complete the squad set to do duty in Kisumu.

KCB head into the Dala 7s as frontrunners after amassing 104 points from the first five tournaments. Their closest challengers, Strathmore Leos, are second with 95 points. With a tournament win worth 22 points, the maximum possible tally this season stands at 132 points.

The bankers have a nine-point lead over Strathmore Leos and can secure the title outright by finishing fourth or better, which would give them at least 15 points.

That would be enough to reclaim the National 7s Circuit crown regardless of how Strathmore perform.

Amonde’s charges are chasing a record that would make them the most successful team in National 7s Circuit history, with a potential season tally of 126 points out of 132 if they win the final leg in Kisumu.
