The 25th edition of the National 7s Circuit is set to conclude this weekend, September 13–14, at the Mamboleo Grounds in Kisumu during the Dala 7s.
Last season’s champions Kenya Harlequin stand tall in the history of the competition with four titles (2005, 2006, 2012 and 2024) having ended a 12-year wait by lifting the 2024 Circuit crown, their first since 2012.
Quins showcased consistency across the campaign, reaching five semi-finals out of six tournaments and winning the Kakamega Ingo 7s and Driftwood 7s to seal the title.
Over the years, the Circuit has produced some of Kenya’s greatest rugby sevens champions, with Impala Saracens and KCB Rugby also leading the honours list with four titles each.
Impala dominated the early years, winning the inaugural editions in 1999, 2000, and 2001 before adding another in 2004.
KCB, on the other hand, have stamped their authority in recent times, lifting the crown in 2013, 2014, 2019, and 2023.

Close behind are Mwamba RFC, who enjoyed a golden spell between 2007 and 2011, bagging four championships in that period.
Homeboyz RFC have lifted the trophy twice, first in 2016 and again in 2018, while several other teams have each claimed the championship once.
Nakuru RFC in 2015, Kabras Sugar in 2017, Menengai Oilers in 2022, Strathmore Leos in 2009, and Ulinzi in 2002 and 2003 before exiting the top-flight.
As the 25th edition heads to its conclusion in Kisumu, the Circuit’s roll of champions since its inception paints the picture of a fiercely competitive and historic competition that continues to shape Kenya’s rugby sevens landscape.
