The battle for the National 7s Circuit crown is heating up with only one leg left,  the 2025 Dala 7s scheduled for 13th and 14th September in Kisumu.

KCB Rugby remain the team to beat after collecting 104 points across the five rounds played so far.

National 7s Circuit form

The bankers have been in imperious form, winning the Driftwood, Christie, and Kabeberi 7s, while also finishing strongly in Prinsloo and Embu. Their consistency keeps them in pole position to reclaim the circuit title.

Strathmore Leos sit second on the log with 95 points. The students, who clinched the Prinsloo and Embu 7s, have been KCB’s closest challengers and remain firmly in the title race. They will need a strong showing in Kisumu to keep their hopes alive.

Menengai Oilers occupy third place with 77 points, boosted by solid runs across the legs including a semifinal finish at Kabeberi.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Defending Dala 7s champions Kabras Sugar RFC are placed fourth with 64 points, while Kenya Harlequins round out the top five on 57 points after mixed fortunes in the campaign.

Further down the table, Catholic Monks (55 points) and Daystar Falcons (52 points) continue to impress after breaking into the top ten, while Nakuru RFC and MMUST are tied at 36 points each.

At the lower end, Zetech Oaks (11 points), Stallions (10 points), Mean Machine (8 points), Embu RFC (7 points), and Homeboyz RFC (7 points) are among the teams battling to climb up after difficult runs in the circuit.

With the final leg in Kisumu promising high stakes, all eyes will be on whether KCB can hold off Strathmore Leos and Oilers to seal the overall crown, or if the race will deliver a late twist.
