KCB Rugby in Kabeberi 7s final
For KCB, this will be their fifth consecutive final appearance of the season as they seek to reclaim the National 7s Circuit crown last won in 2023.
The Bankers booked their slot after edging out Kabras RFC 21-17 in yet another thrilling semi-final.
Kabras, who were returning to the last four for the first time since the opening leg at Driftwood 7s, once again found themselves on the wrong end of KCB’s dominance.
The Sugarmen have now been eliminated by the Bankers in four straight knockouts — Driftwood (semis), Prinsloo (quarters), Embu (quarters), and now Kabeberi (semis).
KCB struck early in the match when scrum-half Samuel Asati sniped from the base to score for a 7-0 lead.
Kabras responded through Kevin Wekesa, who sliced through the defence to level matters at 7-7. The Bankers regained control when Bob Muhati powered down the left wing for a converted try, before Rayvone Ambale’s effort just before halftime cut the deficit to 14-12.

After the restart, a costly penalty from Wekesa gifted KCB field position, and they capitalized with another converted try for a 21-12 lead. K
abras fought hard and crossed through Mathias Osimbo after the buzzer, but the damage was already done, with KCB sealing their passage to the final.
In the other semi-final, Daystar Falcons stunned Strathmore Leos 12-10 to secure a place in the final on their maiden semi-final appearance.
Kenya 7s flyer Patrick Odongo gave the students an early 5-0 lead before Victor Mola responded for the Leos.
Clinton Amukwachi then extended the Falcons’ advantage to 12-5 with a strong finish. Despite Strathmore pushing hard in the dying moments and Mola grabbing a second try, the missed conversion proved costly, allowing Daystar to hold on for a famous win.
