Kabeberi 7s div 2 recap: Blakblad, Zetech, Nondies shine

The opening day of the Kabeberi 7s Division Two at RFUEA Grounds produced thrilling encounters with KU Blakblad, Zetech Oaks, and Nondescripts among the standout performers after registering emphatic victories.

Blakblad made their intentions clear with a 45-5 thumping of Egerton Wasps in their opener before seeing off MKU Nairobi 38-5.

In their final pool tie, they secured a hard-fought 10-0 win over Makueni RFC to finish day one unbeaten.

Zetech Oaks also lit up the competition, dismantling Cooperative University 50-0, storming past Stormers RFC 38-0, and handing Ngong Warriors a 29-5 defeat to complete a perfect run.

Nondescripts proved too strong for their opponents, thrashing Kasarani Panthers 43-0, hammering Africa Nazarene University 60-0, and completing their dominance with a 41-0 win over Western Bulls.

Western Bulls began strongly with a 30-0 win over Africa Nazarene University and a 38-5 triumph over Kasarani Panthers, but their campaign hit a stumbling block after a heavy 41-0 loss to Nondies.

Makueni RFC picked two wins, including a 38-0 shutout against MKU Nairobi and a 27-3 victory over Egerton Wasps, but fell 10-0 to Blakblad in their final pool match. Stallions Rugby also impressed, beating KCA University 28-14 and crushing Mbale RFC 44-0, although they stumbled 28-0 against MKU Thika.

Elsewhere, NYS Spades maintained their edge with wins over Northern Suburbs (29-5) and AP Warriors (17-0) before edging Kabarak University 10-5 in a tight contest.
