Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has moved to strengthen its talent identification system by appointing a panel of seasoned rugby experts to oversee the selection of players from the ongoing National Sevens Circuit.

This new approach aims to ensure that players with the potential to wear the Shujaa and Lionesses jersey are spotted early, guided by individuals with proven experience both on and off the field.

Leading the panel is Paul Odera, KRU’s Director of Rugby and a World Rugby Educator, renowned for his role in shaping rugby structures across Kenya.

Joining him is Bernard Rotich, a coach credited with guiding Blak Blad RFC to a historic Kenya Cup playoff berth after 50 years.

Known for his talent identification skills, Rotich has also coached at the highest levels of both Sevens and Fifteens rugby.

His leadership background, spanning player, captain, coach, and manager roles, ensures a well-rounded approach to identifying future stars.
