In 2024, South Africa retained their Rugby Africa Women’s Sevens title after edging out a resilient Kenya Lionesses side 19-10 in the final played in Ghana.
Africa Women’s 7s final
The victory repeated the 2023 outcome, where South Africa triumphed 12-7 to secure Olympic qualification for the first time in their history.
Heading into last year’s final, both South Africa and Kenya had been unbeaten, with the Springbok Women especially dominant, going through their first five matches without conceding a single point.
