Rugby coach Eliud Okwemba has moved to Friends School Bokoli, bringing to an end his eight-year stay at Koyonzo High School.
During his tenure at Koyonzo, Okwemba transformed the side into a rugby powerhouse. He guided them to four National appearances, secured back-to-back National 7s titles, and delivered the school’s first-ever East African 7s crown in 2023.

Other achievements under his leadership include four County championships, four regional 7s titles, Scrummage 7s triumph and recognition as the 2023 School of the Year during .

Reflecting on his time at Koyonzo, Okwemba expressed pride in the milestones achieved.
“I am proud of what we achieved at Koyonzo, especially winning the two National 7s titles and the East African 7s title,” he told Scrummage Africa.
Looking ahead to his new role, the coach is eager to set high standards at Bokoli.
“I want to bring competitive rugby to Bokoli, not just participation. I want to raise the standards too,” he added.
