Kenya Harlequin 7s coach Simon Odongo and Zetech Oaks’ Ramseyfield Matekwa are the latest coaches to receive their World Rugby Level Two accreditation in 7s.
Odongo’s accreditation comes a year after the Kenya Lionesses 15s head coach attained his World Rugby Level Two accreditation in 15s.
The former Homeboyz tactician was appointed head of the Kenya Harlequin 7s program ahead of this year’s sevens campaign.
He previously served as head coach of his former side Homeboyz Rugby on two occasions, first in 2018-2019, replacing Paul Murunga, and again in 2021 when he stepped in for South African Jason Hector.

For Matekwa, he currently leads Zetech Oaks, who have featured several times in the top tier this season.
They are joined by Martin Munga of NYS Spades, who has also attained his World Rugby Level Two 7s coaching accreditation.
His achievement comes at a time when NYS Spades have been impressive in the second division, topping the standings after four rounds and reaching two finals this season.
Godfrey Otieno of Northern Suburbs has also completed his coaching accreditation after undertaking the course during the Christie 7s mini-super week.
