Daystar Falcons were the first side through after edging Mwamba RFC 17-14. The result marked their second consecutive Cup quarterfinal appearance, having reached the last eight last weekend.
The students scored through Clinton Amukwachi, Robbin Wanyama, and Moses Keragori, sealing the win that took them to six points and guaranteed progression.
KCB Rugby in Embu 7s quarters
KCB Rugby also sailed through with a commanding 24-0 win over hosts Embu RFC. Bob Muhati opened the scoring before Samuel Asati, Emmanuel Opondo, and Austine Sikutwa each added a try.
The bankers moved top of the pool with six points and an impressive +39 points differential, marking their fourth consecutive Cup quarterfinal appearance. Daystar Falcons trail closely with six points and a +22 differential.
In Pool B, Kabras RFC revived their hopes with a convincing 36-12 victory over Impala RFC. Impala struck first through youngster Amon Bwambok, but Kabras responded strongly with tries from Jackson Siketi, Brian Mutua, Jackton Osoo, and Osimbo Mathews.
Biden Hayo and Patrick Lumumba added further tries before Timothy Makiya pulled one back for Impala. The win lifted Kabras to second on four points, while Strathmore Leos stayed top after a 19-5 win against Stallions.
Victor Odhiambo, Elton Amalemba, and Nygel Amaitsa crossed the line for the Leos, who booked their fourth consecutive Cup quarterfinal berth.

In Pool C, Nakuru RFC edged Nondies 17-12 to blow the pool wide open. Cyprian Ombaso scored a brace while Habbakuk Ouma added another try for Nakuru. Nondies replied through Okito Daniel and Crispin Omondi, leaving both sides tied on four points each.
Menengai Oilers stayed top of the pool with a dominant 31-0 win over Mean Machine. John Okoth bagged a brace while Clarkson Keegan, Alvin Khavoli, and Brian Achacha all touched down in the derby.
In Pool D, MMUST pulled off a dramatic 17-14 win over Catholic Monks, scoring a late converted try to maintain their perfect run. Catholic Monks had looked set for a first win of the tournament but late penalties allowed MMUST back into the game.
The defeat ended the Monks’ hopes of reaching the quarters.
Meanwhile, Kenya Harlequin revived their chances of advancing with a 26-12 win over Zetech Oaks, a result that kept Pool D wide open heading into the final round.
