The Uganda National Sevens Series resumes this weekend with the Entebbe 7s, set for Saturday and Sunday at the Sai Pali Institute in Kawuku, Entebbe.
This is the third leg of the seven-round series, returning after a one-week break.
Focus will once again be on Walukuba Barbarians, who sit at the top of the standings after two strong outings.
The Barbarians began their campaign with victory at the Coronation 7s before finishing runners-up at the Gulu 7s, tallying 41 points to lead the log as the action shifts to Entebbe.
ENTEBBE 7s POOLS
In the men’s category, defending champions Buffaloes headline Pool A alongside Rams, Gulu City Falcons, and Warriors. Pool B will see Walukuba Barbarians test their form against KOBs, Elgon Wolves, and Sharks, while Pool C is packed with heavyweights Rhinos, Pirates, Hippos, and Impis. Pool D brings together Mongers, Eagles, Heathens, and Jaguars.

The women’s competition has also drawn exciting pools. Pool A includes Avengers, Walukuba Titans, Nile Rapids, and Ewes, while Pool B features Thunderbirds, Black Pearls, She Wolves, and Panthers.
Matchday one promises fireworks with fixtures such as Pirates against Hippos, Walukuba Barbarians against Sharks, and Buffaloes against Warriors in the men’s category. On the women’s side, the opening clashes will see Black Pearls take on She Wolves, Thunderbirds face Panthers, and Titans meet Nile Rapids.
Round two and three games will follow through the weekend, with the women’s final pool matches set for Sunday before knockout action.
