Fast-rising sports apparel producer AS Sports Africa has crossed borders and will make its debut in Uganda, with their AS Sports Rugby match ball set to be the official ball of the Entebbe 7s this weekend.
AS Sports Founder Patrice Agunda, a former Kenyan international, expressed his delight at the milestone, noting the company’s vision to grow across Africa and diversify beyond rugby.
AS Sports expansion
“It feels great to expand. Our aim is to reach as many countries in Africa as possible. We are keen to provide quality sports apparel and equipment across different disciplines. I am grateful to find people like Coach Leo to work with as we expand into Uganda and the region,” Agunda told Scrummage Africa.
The company has partnered with Mongers Rugby Club for the tournament. Leo Lubambula, who will serve as the AS Sports CEO for Uganda, described the partnership as timely and promising.
