KCB Rugby are the 2025 Christie 7s champions after defeating Menengai Oilers 17-5 in the final played at the RFUEA Grounds on Sunday.
The victory handed KCB their eighth Christie 7s title and their second trophy of the season. It was also the first time the two sides were meeting in a final since the 2024 Kabeberi 7s, which KCB also won.
Before Christie 7s
Coming into the final, the Bankers had already beaten Oilers twice this season, in the quarterfinals and semifinals, and they once again proved too strong, making the most of their third consecutive final appearance.
KCB were quick off the blocks, with Floyd Wabwire breaking through the centre to score the opener. Festus Shiasi then reacted swiftly from a ruck to stretch the lead, giving KCB a 12-0 cushion at the break.

In the second half, Wabwire struck again, this time kicking ahead and chasing to touch down for his second try, pushing the lead to 19-0.
The Oilers managed a late response through Samuel Ovwamu, who raced over for their only try of the final, but it was not enough to close the gap as KCB sealed their second title of the season.
