Buffaloes RFC are the 2025 Gulu 7s champions after grinding out a hard-fought 5-0 win over defending champions Walukuba Barbarians in the men’s final at Pece War Memorial Stadium.
The victory ended an eight-year drought for the Buffaloes, whose last circuit title came in 2017.
The Buffaloes booked their place in the final with a commanding 26-0 semi-final win over Rhinos, while Walukuba edged Mongers 10-0 in the other semi.
Rhinos secured bronze after a narrow 15-14 win against Mongers.
In the quarterfinals, Walukuba kicked off with a 19-5 win over Rams, Mongers battled past Eagles 14-10, Rhinos overcame Pirates 17-14, and Buffaloes stunned KOBs 14-7.

Pirates claimed fifth place with a 20-3 victory over Eagles, while Kitgum Lions took 13th place after defeating Black Arrows 20-0.
In the women’s category, Avengers RFC emerged champions for the first time after edging Thunderbirds 14-10 in a tense final.
Avengers had beaten Walukuba Titans 12-7 in the semis, while Thunderbirds saw off Black Pearls 36-12.
