“The Kenya Rugby Union has today confirmed that the 2025 edition of the Safari 7s tournament will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium. This will be the first time the tournament shall be held here since 2021, where Shujaa emerged victorious,” read a statement from the union.

The tournament is set to return to Nyayo for the first time since 2021, when Shujaa beat Germany in the final to lift the trophy. The 2023 edition was held at the RFUEA Grounds, while the 2024 edition took place at Machakos Stadium.

This will be the fourth time the Safari 7s is hosted at the 35,000-seater Nyayo National Stadium. The venue previously hosted the tournament in 2011 and 2012 following a surge in attendance, which the RFUEA Grounds could no longer accommodate.

Kenya Shujaa and Costa Blanca Ladies are the current defending champions, having claimed the men’s and women’s titles respectively during the 2024 tournament in Machakos.
