The Prinsloo 7s Cup semi-finalists have been confirmed following the quarterfinal matches played at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Sunday morning.
Strathmore Leos will take on Catholic Monks in the first semi-final, while KCB Rugby are set to face Menengai Oilers in the second semi-final.
KCB eliminate Kabras again
KCB Rugby completed a double over Kabras RFC this season, defeating them 17-5 in the quarterfinals. Just like in the Driftwood 7s, Floyd Wabwire played a key role, opening the scoring with a try after receiving the ball from a scrum. He cut in sharply before sprinting clear to score under the posts, and the conversion made it 7-0.

Kabras responded through Brian Mutua, who dotted down after an offload from Jactone Osoo, but the conversion was missed.
In the second half, Wabwire outpaced Lamec Ambetsa to score a corner try before Vincent Onyala capitalized on a defensive lapse to add another. KCB held on for the win to secure a semi-final spot.
Oilers edge Nakuru
Menengai Oilers reached their first semi-final of the season with a narrow 7-0 victory over rivals Nakuru RFC in the Nakuru Derby, a repeat of last year’s quarterfinal, which Oilers won 24-17.

This time, Fortune Aturo forced his way over the line for a converted try to put Oilers ahead. They thought they had added another early in the second half, but the try was ruled out for an infringement.
Nakuru pressed for a response, but a crucial turnover by John Okoth allowed Oilers to kick the ball out and complete the double over Nakuru in this tournament.
Leos cruise past Quins
Strathmore Leos booked a second consecutive semi-final appearance with a commanding 26-0 win over Kenya Harlequin, bouncing back strongly from Saturday’s loss to Oilers.
Quins, meanwhile, miss out on the semis for the second weekend in a row.
Arnold Muita set up Stansilaus Shikoli for the opening try, which was converted. Though Victor Mola had a try ruled out for offside, Leos still led 7-0 at halftime after Quins failed to convert late pressure into points.
In the second half, Samuel Wafula scored on the left wing before Mola added another after selling a dummy. Nygel Amaitsa then sealed the win with a brilliant solo try from his own 22, converted for a 26-0 scoreline.
Catholic Monks Edge Mwamba
Catholic Monks reached their first semi-final of the season with a 12-7 win over Mwamba RFC. The students struck first through Duke Monda, whose converted try made it 7-0.
Mwamba quickly responded, with Norman Nandabi scoring and Dennis Ndayala adding the extras to level the scores.
Just before the break, Brian Nyamboki tapped from a penalty and dived in at the corner to restore Monks’ lead. The second half had no further scores, and the Monks held firm to progress.
Teams Relegated from Top Tier
Mombasa RFC, Kisumu RFC, MMUST, and Stallions, who have enjoyed a long stay in the top tier, have been relegated and will need invites to feature in the upcoming Christie 7s after failing to secure a top-four finish in the lower tier.
