Defending KSSSA National 7s champions Bwake began their title defence in dominant fashion, registering a 19-0 victory over Lenana School in the opening round at the Bull Ring.
Bwake crossed the whitewash three times to secure maximum points and set the tone for their campaign.

They were joined on the winners’ list by Marsabit, who edged Kitondo 14-12 in a closely fought encounter.
Bungoma High School pulled off a dramatic win, scoring a last-minute try to beat Musingu High School 22-17 in a thriller that had been deadlocked at 17-17 with seconds left on the clock.
Laiser Hill staged an impressive comeback from a 10-0 deficit to overwhelm Gede 38-10, while St. Mary’s Yala narrowly edged Mpesa Foundation 15-14 in another tightly contested match.

Nairobi School were in fine form, dispatching Bishop with a 26-12 win, and Koyonzo School overcame a string of handling errors to snatch a 10-7 victory over Anjego with a late try.
St. Peters closed out the opening round with a statement performance, thrashing Alliance 34-0.
