Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala will host the opening leg of the 2025 Nile Special Uganda 7s Series after a change in venue was confirmed for the Kabaka Coronation Rugby 7s tournament, originally set to be held at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The tournament will now take place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2025, following confirmation that Wankulukuku would be unavailable due to preparations for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to begin in early August.
“All formal engagements to retain the original venue were exhausted. However, thanks to the excellent working relationship between the organisers and Kyadondo Rugby Club, the Organising Committee is pleased to have secured the facility on hire for this important cultural and sporting event,” read a statement from the event’s organising committee.
