Mwamba Rugby Football Club has launched its new jersey for the 2025 National Sevens Circuit, produced in collaboration with East African sportswear brand Tessen.
The jersey will make its competitive debut this weekend at the Driftwood Sevens in Mombasa, which marks the opening leg of the circuit.
The new kit, designed exclusively for Mwamba RFC, features an electric aqua base contrasted with black and deep teal graphics a nod to the club’s legacy of power, pride, and performance.
“This jersey is not just a kit it’s a storm brewing, It embodies the spirit of our club: fearless, electric, and ready to rewrite the script of the 2025 Sevens season,” said Mwamba RFC interim chairman, Edwin Waita.
In a statement the club stated that the jersey is crafted with performance in mind with the jersey built from Tessen’s VENTIL8 technical fabric, offering both innovation and durability. The material is said to enhance breathability and comfort, key for the fast-paced demands of sevens rugby.

“Tessen doesn’t just make kits we tell stories through design, performance and fabrics. This jersey is designed to match Mwamba’s energy, resilience, and what the team means to their supporters,” said Keeley Theobold, Brand Manager at Tessen.
Mwamba’s team captain Eliakim Kichoi added,
“Wearing this kit makes you feel like you’ve already won half the battle. The design lifts us it’s bold, aggressive, and unapologetically Mwamba. We’re more than ready.”

Mwamba begin their National 7s Circuit campaign this weekend with the Driftwood 7s and are placed in Pool A alongside Kenya Harlequin, MMUST, and Blak Blad.
