Menengai Oilers 7s coach Geoffrey Ominde has announced his squad for the Driftwood 7s, which marks the opening leg of the 2025 National 7s Circuit campaign.
Kenya 7s star Denis Abukuse will captain the team, assisted by Samuel Mwaura. The squad also includes Kenya Simbas winger Beldad Ogeta, who missed the recent Rugby Africa Cup due to injury, alongside Abutwalib Wesonga.
Other notable names in the lineup are Nelson Makokha, Fortune Arturo, former Kenya U20 players Daniel Chirchir and Alvin Khavoli, as well as Anthony Owino, Brian Achacha, Glacious Owino, and Calvin Malewa. Clarkson Keegan will serve as the 13th player.

Oilers are drawn in Pool D alongside Strathmore Leos, Kabarak University, and Stallions Rugby.
Since their famous 2022 victory, the Oilers have settled for fourth place in the last two campaigns.
This season, they are determined to lift a trophy after narrowly missing out on top honors in both the Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup.
