Uganda Rugby Union has confirmed the full schedule for the 2025 Nile Special Uganda 7s Series, which will feature seven rounds of across different regions countrywide from August 2 to September 28, with two scheduled rest weekends.
The 2025 series will kick off on August 2 and 3 in the Central Region with the Kabaka Coronation Sevens, hosted by the Buganda Kingdom.
The second round will shift north to Gulu for the Gulu Sevens on August 9 and 10, hosted by the Gulu City Falcons.
Teams will then take a break on the weekend of August 16 and 17, which has been set aside as a rest weekend.
Action resumes on August 23 and 24 in the Central Region with the Rujumba Sevens, hosted by the Black Pirates at King’s Park, Bweyogerere.
The Entebbe Sevens follows on August 30 and 31, also in the Central Region. Hosted by the Entebbe Mongers.
In early September, the circuit moves to the Eastern Region for the Kyabazinga Sevens, set for September 6 and 7. This round will be hosted by the Walukuba Barbarians in Jinja.

Another rest weekend has been scheduled for September 13 and 14, giving teams a second opportunity to regroup ahead of the final sprint.
The sixth leg of the series will be the Kabale Sevens, scheduled for September 20 and 21 in the Western Region. Hosted by the Kigezi Silverbacks.
The series will conclude on September 27 and 28 with the Buffaloes Sevens, hosted by the Buffaloes in the Central Region.
Heathens RFC, the 2024 champions, will head into the new campaign as defending titleholders. Despite losing the final at the Rujumba Sevens held at King’s Park, their consistent top finishes throughout the previous season helped them secure the title their first since 2013.
