Kabarak University have acquired six players from Kenya Cup side Menengai Oilers as they gear up for the new rugby season.
The players moving to Kabarak are primarily those who are yet to fully break into the Oilers’ first team and have featured for the club’s Eric Shirley Shield-winning side.
Kabarak new faces
Among them is Collins Okoth, who made several appearances in the Kenya Cup last season. Okoth, who also helped the club win the ESS and the Varsity Category of the Floodlit tournament, is joined by Justin Lunale, another key figure in the ESS title win.
Thomas Ombasa, Keith Wafula, Moses Ajak, and Brian Oyugi are also part of the group making the switch from Oilers. The moves are understood by Scrummage Africa to be loan deals.
