Kevin Wekesa landed his sixth try of the Rugby Premier League season in India as Hyderabad Heroes cruised to a 40-19 win over Patrick Odongo’s Delhi Redz.
Wekesa crossed over two minutes into the second quarter after receiving an offload to add to his growing try tally.
He was joined on the scoresheet by Lautaro Velez, who bagged a brace, as well as Wolfram Hacker, leading try scorer Joji Nasova, and Javed Hussain, all contributing to the commanding win.

Despite the loss, Odongo put in a strong showing for Delhi Redz, scoring twice in the final quarter. He was joined by Jordan Conroy on the scoreboard, as the pair accounted for the team’s 19 points.
Odongo now has seven tries heading into the final group stage match scheduled for Friday.
Delhi Redz have nonetheless secured a place in the semifinals, joining Philip Wokorach’s Bengaluru Bravehearts, Chennai Bulls, and Wekesa’s Hyderabad Heroes—who are already guaranteed a top spot finish.
