The reigning champions now sit comfortably in first place with 9 points, having scored 81 points and conceded just 19 over their two matches.

Kenya, who came into the tie after defeating Madagascar, suffered their first loss of the tournament. Despite the setback, the Lionesses remain second with 6 points, boasting a positive point difference of +16 and having scored 40 points in total.

Uganda’s Lady Cranes picked up their first win of the tournament in thrilling fashion, overcoming hosts Madagascar 24-20 in a dramatic comeback at Stade Makis on Tuesday afternoon.

The victory lifted Uganda to third place on the table with 5 points, rebounding from their opening day 62-6 defeat to South Africa.
Madagascar remain at the bottom of the table with just one point from two losses. Despite scoring 25 points in total, they have conceded 52, with a point difference of -27.
