The Uganda Lady Cranes have named a 23-player squad ahead of their opening fixture against South Africa in the RA Women’s Cup 2025, set for kick-off at 13:00 EAT at Stade Makis in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
Headlining the selection is the inclusion of three uncapped players Hellen Acani, Mercy Atek, and Janepher Nakale, who will be looking to make their debuts on the continental stage.
The forward pack features Doreen Sijali and Doreen Mbabazi, supported by Yvonne Najjuma. Priscovia Mukyala and Hellen Acani are in the second row.

The flanks being manned by Angela Nanyonzo and Suzan Adong, while Lydia Namabiro takes the number 8 position.
Tina Akello and Bushira Namutebi are at scrum-half and fly-half respectively, with Mercy Atek and Janat Nandudu taking charge of the midfield. Christine Akello and Janat Nandudu are the wingers, and Samiya Ayikoru is the fullback.
