The Kenya Rugby Union has released the Kenya Simbas’ schedule for their upcoming tour of South Africa, with the first match set for Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
The Simbas will kick off their campaign against SWD Eagles in George. They will then have a six-day break before facing the South Africa U20 side in Stellenbosch on Monday, June 9.
Kenya Simbas vs U20
The team will return to action on Saturday, June 14, for a second clash against SA U20, again in Stellenbosch. A week later, they will take on Sanlam Boland in Wellington on Friday, June 20.
The final leg of the tour will see Simbas face Limpopo in back-to-back fixtures scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 26, both in Limpopo.

The tour serves as preparation for the Rugby Africa Cup. Head coach Jerome Paarwater’s squad features several standout players from the Kenya Cup, including final MVP Patrick Sabatia, the in-form Collins Indeche, and Samuel Ovwamu.
Menengai Oilers prop Vincent Mwikhali, Brian Juma, and Derrick Ashihundu have also been called up, alongside Kenya 7s stars Samuel Asati, John Okoth, and Brian Tanga.
Foreign-based players Melvin Thairu and Bethuel Anami are part of the squad, while South Africa-based duo David Bunduki and Thomas Okeyo joined the team upon arrival.
Hillary Mwanjilwa, who is currently working on his return from injury, is also part of the training camp.
