Mwamba RFC announce Caretaker Committee take over

Mwamba RFC have announced the appointment of a Caretaker Committee to oversee the club’s operations during a transitional phase.

The decision was reached during the club’s Annual General Meeting held on May 20, 2025, where members resolved to form a caretaker team to guide the club forward.

The committee will be led by Interim Chairman Edwin Waita, with Eugene Sudi serving as the Interim Secretary and Francis Wanyonyi as the Interim Treasurer.

Other members include Peter Kepher, along with former players Larry Asego, Edwin Machanje, and Phelix Ohato.

The mandate of the caretaker committee includes ensuring continuity, strengthening club structures, and steering the club towards stability and fresh elections.

In the previous elections held on November 24, 2023, during the club’s Annual General Meeting, Jason Rosario Braganza — a former club secretary, director of rugby, and Seconds coach — was elected chairperson, succeeding George Mbaye.

Gilbert Nyangor, a passionate fan mobilizer, was appointed Honorary Secretary, while former player Meshack Miyogo was voted in as Honorary Treasurer.
