Shogun Rugby have named a Kenya-dominated squad for the upcoming Kampala 7s tournament set to take place at Kings Park Arena on 31st May and 1st June.
Kenya 7s stars Vincent Onyala and Anthony Omondi will co-captain the side. Onyala, who recently missed out on selection to the Kenya Simbas final squad, will be looking to make an impact in Kampala alongside Omondi.

They are joined by Austine Sikutwa and Paul Mutsami, both of whom also missed out on the Simbas squad.
The squad also features Mwamba RFC duo Joel Inzuga and Brian Mutugi, Nondies’ Ronnie Omondi, Strathmore Leos’ Elton Amalemba, Blak Blad’s Elvis Otete, Menengai Oilers’ Samuel Mwaura, and Kisumu RFC’s David Williams.

The team will be under the guidance of U.S. coach Patrick Ross Allen, with Fahad Adil serving as the Operations Manager and Tom Lagat doubling as Team Manager and Strength & Conditioning Coach.
The highly anticipated Kampala 7s, will feature elite clubs from Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, underlining the rising profile of East African rugby on the global stage.
Twelve teams have been confirmed for the tournament, including international outfits such as the SA Academy All Stars from South Africa. Top Ugandan clubs like Heathens, KCB Kobs, Black Pirates, Buffaloes, Jinja Hippos, and the Uganda Emerging 7s team will also compete.
Kenyan sides Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, and Nondies are also expected to feature in the tournament.
