In their most recent outing, Uganda narrowly lost to the Kenya Legends in a tightly contested first leg of the 2025 Legends Cup, falling 19-17 on home turf at Kyadondo Rugby Football Club on Saturday, 24 May.
This latest defeat continues a challenging run for Uganda against Kenya. In their last meeting before this year, held on 29 September 2024 at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, Uganda lost 24-15 in the second leg of the 2024 Legends Cup, having earlier fallen 26-15 in the first leg. Kenya took the series with a 50-30 aggregate win.
The 2023 edition of the competition was even tougher, with Uganda suffering a 69-18 aggregate loss over two legs.
In addition to the Cup matches, the Ugandan side had an extra fixture last year against the UK Tritons, which they managed to win.
