Daystar University Falcons Rugby team is inviting talented rugby players to join its men’s squad ahead of the 2025/2026 Kenya Cup season.
Fresh from a historic promotion, the Falcons are keen on strengthening their ranks as they prepare for top-flight competition.
The university announced open trials for players who meet specific requirements where applicants must have scored a minimum of D+ in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations and must be aged 24 years or younger.
Interested players are required to fill out an application form, which can be accessed through the link: https://forms.gle/fhJGVXZt2GL52Jn58. with the deadline for applications being Sunday, 18th May 2025.

The Falcons secured the championship in dominant fashion, stunning Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) with a 39-12 victory in a final held at the Kakamega ASK Showground.
This success capped a determined journey for the Falcons, who previously won the 2021/2022 KRU Nationwide title by defeating Zetech Oaks 30-13 at the RFUEA Grounds on April 23, 2022. After spending three seasons in the second-tier Championship, Daystar finally earned their long-awaited promotion to the Kenya Cup.
Daystar Falcons and MMUST will now replace Mwamba RFC and South Coast Pirates, who were relegated from the Kenya Cup at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
As they step onto the premier stage of Kenyan rugby, the Falcons are keen on building a strong and competitive team, and the upcoming trials present a golden opportunity for young, talented players to become part of this exciting new chapter.
