Mwamba RFC have completed a four-peat in the Kenya Cup women’s following a 10-5 win over Impala Roans in the final at Goan Institute.
Kulabu would blow a chance to go ahead from the tee before hitting from the resulting clearance kick, Naomi Kaikai injecting into the 22 before Maureen Chebet broke the line to run in untouched from five metres out, the resulting conversion sailing wide to leave it at 5-0.
Impala would make their first raid on Mwamba territory, taking a quick tap off the penalty before their winger shrugged off the attention of two defenders to dot down in the corner, the attempt at goal off mark to level scores, 5-5 now.
The Roans blew a chance to pull ahead from the penalty spot before the contest was taken to the middle of the pitch.
Impala would threaten on a couple of occasions, handling errors and errors in the breakdown allowing Mwamba to get out of jail on those occasions to take the game to the bleachers level, scores 5-5.

Both sides opened the second stanza rather slowly, Mwamba missing an attempt at goal before continued pressure on Impala paid off, a good passage of the ball through the hands for Kaikai to dot down in the corner for a 10-5 lead.
Possesion would swing to Impala, pounding from close quarters for extended periods to no avail, blowing clear cut chances to exploit numerical advantage on a couple of plays before errors in play turned over possesion as Mwamba held onto their lead.
The gane would be hotly contested in the middle of the pitch for the remainder of the game, both teams knocking to no avail, Mwamba winning 10-5 at the final whistle.
